Christoph Loytved is Product Manager for the Tire and Brake Wear Virtual Sensor at COMPREDICT, a role he has held since 2023. He joined COMPREDICT in 2018 as a Data Scientist developing virtual sensors and graduated from Technische Universität Darmstadt in 2018.

Engineering teams can spend as much as 50% of their time preparing and cleaning data rather than analysing it and creating new value. Engineers must manually check data quality and correct issues, label manoeuvres and contextual information in raw time-series sensor data, convert between file formats, and map signals by hand. This bottleneck can extend research and development cycles by weeks. Manual processes may also introduce errors, make consistent data quality difficult to guarantee, and consume valuable engineering capacity with tasks that do not directly contribute to analysis or innovation. The presentation introduces DataPilot and explores how automotive organisations can transform raw vehicle measurement data into clean, analysis-ready datasets. By streamlining data preparation, quality assurance, labelling, format conversion and signal mapping, engineering teams can focus more of their time on analysis, smart virtual sensors and the creation of real business value.
