About Andreas
Andreas Weber is a Product Manager at ETAS GmbH, where he is part of the product management team responsible for the portfolio of Ethernet switch software, automotive firewalls, and Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS). With over a decade of dedicated expertise in vehicle cybersecurity and E/E architectures, Andreas focuses on defining robust, scalable, and secure networking solutions to advance the software-defined vehicle (SDV). Prior to his current role, Andreas drove product management for host-based intrusion detection systems at ETAS. He began his career in automotive security in July 2016 as a Security Consultant at ESCRYPT, where he specialized in engineering critical security and risk analyses for leading global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. Andreas holds a degree in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), with a specialization in cryptography and IT security. At ETAS, he leverages this deep technical foundation and market experience to help automotive manufacturers simplify network configurations, reduce development risks, and secure high-performance Ethernet networks.
