ASAM e.V. — the Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems — is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes the standardisation of toolchains in automotive development and testing. Its members include international vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, tool vendors, engineering service providers and research institutes. ASAM standards are developed by experts from member companies, based on real use cases, with ASAM serving as their legal owner and overseeing their distribution and marketing. Accelerate engineering for mobility ASAM believes that mastering the automotive industry's increasing complexity and disruptive challenges requires stronger cooperation between OEMs, tool vendors, service providers and research institutes. It provides a legally and antitrust-compliant platform through which stakeholders can agree standards, exchange information and establish a shared technical language. Its international community creates and establishes standards that enable interoperability and the seamless exchange of information across mobility-industry toolchains. ASAM guides initiatives from ideation to release through proven processes, technical expertise, collaboration and networking. ASAM connects members, coordinates working groups, and develops, releases and maintains standards. Its active community includes more than 400 member organisations worldwide, helping ensure that market-relevant ideas become standards adopted across the industry.
